Who are we?

Founded in 2003, the Stentor translation agency is a leading provider of language services in Croatia in numerous European and world languages, thanks to a rich network of external collaborators in Croatia and abroad. The agency's core activities are oral and written translation, language consulting in the preparation of larger translation projects, and a range of other services within the language industry.

Our clients are European and domestic institutions, ministries and courts, law firms, agencies, banks, insurance, consulting and other companies, IT companies, automotive companies, tourist boards and other legal and natural persons.

Who was Stentor?

Stentor (Greek: Στέντωρ) is an Achaean soldier from the Trojan War known for his "bronze voice".

According to Homer, he had a voice as strong as fifty men, before which rival armies fled in fear. Just as Stentor was recognizable by his voice, so too are we recognizable by the quality of service that makes the voice of our clients unique.

Stentor's translation team consists of 15 permanent and over 200 freelance translators for various language combinations, with experience in numerous professional fields and in preparing bids for international public tenders.

Our translators participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences at home and abroad and are constantly improving their linguistic and professional skills, following the latest technological trends in the translation industry.

The course of the translation process

Offer creation and preparation

Text analysis using translation tools and sending an informative offer; upon acceptance, the project manager prepares the text and assigns it to the translators.

Translation

With translation memories and terminology databases, and taking care of the layout and format of the original; the project manager is available throughout the entire process.

Quality check

Linguistic editing by comparison with the original, and if necessary, professional editing and proofreading.

Delivery

Final check of formatting and layout; the project manager remains available for any changes and feedback.
